SPNB Aims To Build 65,000 Affordable Homes By 2018
KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 -- Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) aims to build 65,000 units of affordable homes across the country by 2018, according to its chief executive officer, Datuk Ahmad Azizi Ali.

He said so far, SPNB had completed almost 27,000 of the 100,000 units of affordable housing planned by the government, since 2013.

"The building of affordable homes is being carried out nationwide, including in Sabah and Sarawak," he told Bernama after appearing as a guest in the 'Dalam Radar' programme on Radio Bernama here, Monday.

Ahmad Azizi said two affordable housing projects would be built in the Klang Valley by the end of the year, namely in Sentul and Setapak, to meet the demand of the bottom 40 per cent (B40) household income group.

He said the houses were offered at prices ranging from RM250,000 to RM350,000, per unit.
