Taman Kepong is a mixed residential area located in the heart of Kepong. One of its main attractions is its central location which is within short driving distance to a number of amenities, while maintaining its peace and quiet. Residents of Taman Kepong however had an issue with their land titles in the past, where over 1,000 families who had been living there for over 40 years found out that they did not have permanent land titles to their homes when a resident attempted to sell his house; an issue that arose due to the negligence of the original developer in the early 1970s. The government however took a hand in the issue and were reassured that the problem would be settled and that the residents would not be asked to move out of their homes.
